From July 14–16, 2026, the International Jacques Ellul Society will host a conference titled The Humiliated Word in a Time of Crisis at the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College. The gathering will bring together scholars across disciplines to examine the role of language, communication, teaching, and truth in a technology- and media-saturated culture.
