Call for panelists
The Rhetoric & Public Address Division of the Southern States Communication Association invites submissions for the 2020 convention being held in Frisco, TX April 2020. The RPA Division welcomes papers and panel proposals ranging across the spectrum of approaches to rhetorical theory and criticism. Submissions related to the conference site—Frisco, TX—or the conference theme—“Disruptive Communication”—are especially encouraged. Emphasis will be placed on submissions that examine: rhetorical histories and analyses connected to the Dallas area, Texas more broadly, and the theme of disruption will be emphasized.
This call is for a panel on the Christian Right–specifically how church and organization leaders have integrated faith in mitigating disruptive communication within their groups.
Submissions are due Friday Sept 6 by midnight. If you’re interested, please send me an email and we can further discuss and organize the panel. Looking forward to hearing from you all soon.
