Description: Much scholarly research has focused on human prayer behaviors and the impact of praying on health, quality of life, to name a few. Only very recently have scholars begun to devote attention to the “other direction” of prayer—i.e., “when God talks back”—and the impact of those communications on people’s religious lives. In this webinar, Jenni Sigler provides a broad introduction to the still-small but highly interdisciplinary world of what she calls “direct divine communication” research.
