The Network for New Media, Religion and Digital Culture Studies is sponsoring an exciting panel for the 2018 SxSWedu festival. Gaming Religion: Finding Faith in Digital Games will bring together Heidi Campbell (Texas A&M University) to talk on Digital Religion, Greg Grieve (UNC-Greensboro) on Buddhism and gaming online, Vit Sisler (Charles Univ.-Prague) on Muslim gaming & Jayme Dale Mallindine(Temple Beth Shalom-Austin) to talk on using gaming of Jewish religious education.  This interactive conversation will focus on how video games can be used to address issues of tolerance, diversity and cultivate civility in our digital culture.
Panel select is partially based on popular voting so we would really appreciate your support. Vote for Gaming Religion at:  http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/vote/80014
Voting concludes at midnight August 25!
