The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, seeks candidates for an Open Rank position in Rhetorical Studies, to begin August 2016. Successful applicant will have in place or will develop programmatic research in Rhetoric and Science, Technology, and/or Public Policy. S/he will teach 2-3 classes each semester in the department’s required and/or elective courses in rhetorical theory, criticism, and public discourse. Appointment at Full or Associate Professor requires a record of scholarship, teaching, and service commensurate with expectations for tenured faculty. Established publication record and evidence of teaching excellence preferred for Assistant Professor applicants. Regardless of rank, the position requires a Ph.D. in Communication Studies.
