I am excited to inform you of two new full-time, tenure-track teaching positions in the Department of Communication and Theatre, at Point Loma Nazarene University. One position will be in Organizational Communication with room for those also interested in Public Relations. The other position is a General Communication spot with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Forensics coaching and directing. That professor will receive release time for being our Assistant Director of Forensics. PLNU has a nationally competitive speech and debate program, emphasizing parliamentary debate, but also competing in Individual Events, NFA LD, and British Parliamentary Debate.

General Communication and Assistant Director of Forensics, Full-Time Tenure Track
Salaries are very competitive and our faith-based university is located in America’s Finest City, San Diego, CA. PLNU is housed on one of the most beautiful campuses in the country and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The scenic beauty and traditionally wonderful weather make the higher real estate costs much more palatable. Trade your snow shovels for sunglasses and sun screen.
Please review the linked applications and job descriptions and apply if you are interested. Please also pass this note along to other great candidates that you think might enjoy one of these opportunities.
We have a terrific department and look forward to welcoming in two new colleagues that are passionate about engaging, challenging, and teaching our students, beginning August, 2016. Applications are being accepted now and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until the positions are filled.
